Making the Mountains Accessible: New School Programs at Marquette Mountain

At Marquette Mountain, we believe the thrill of gliding down a snow-covered hill shouldn’t be a rare luxury—it should be a Northwoods rite of passage. That’s why this year, we’ve completely redesigned our Field Trip and After School programs.

Our goal is simple: remove the barriers of cost and logistics so that every student in the Upper Peninsula has the chance to fall in love with winter sports. We’re not just offering a day out of the classroom; we’re helping students develop a healthy, lifelong passion for the outdoors.

Field Trips: Fun with a Purpose

We’ve made it easier than ever for teachers to bring their classrooms to the mountain. With all-inclusive pricing that covers both lift tickets and rentals, we’re keeping costs predictable and accessible for local families.

Affordable Pricing for U.P. Schools

  • Mondays: $20 per person
  • Tuesday – Thursday: $25 per person
  • Friday: $30 per person
  • Bonus: One complimentary chaperone ticket for every 20 tickets purchased!

Beyond the Slopes: Snow Science & Safety

To help schools meet curriculum requirements, we now offer an Educational Element. Choose between a Mountain Safety Day or a Snow Science Day to turn the mountain into a living laboratory.

To ensure a great experience, we also provide two ski instructors for a one-hour beginner lesson for those who want to learn the basics.

Field Trip Lunch Special

Fueling up for the slopes is easy! We offer a special Field Trip discount on pre-ordered pizzas to keep your group fed and ready for more turns.

After School Ski & Ride: The Ultimate Weeknight Hangout

There is something magical about skiing under the lights after the school bell rings. Our new After School Program is designed for school groups and clubs to get regular time on the snow at unbeatable rates.

Simple & Affordable Rates

  • Lift Tickets: $10 (Mon–Thu) or $12 (Fri)
  • Rentals: $10 (Mon–Thu) or $12 (Fri)
  • Lessons: Only $5 per student on the group’s first visit!

We’ve focused on making these evening sessions as easy as possible for schools to organize, providing a fun and consistent way for students to build their skills throughout the season.
