Get out and enjoy the beautiful Upper Peninsula outdoors! Explore the stunning terrain and scenery of Marquette Mountain while getting some exercise. We have expanded our hiking trails with exciting new routes on Rocket and Ridge, in addition to our popular, existing Weasel Gulch trail. These paths offer excellent uphill and downhill options for hikers of varying skill levels.

Midweek Hiking

Our rugged downhill bike trails are also open to hikers Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Weekend Policy

Please note that from Friday to Sunday, downhill bike trails are reserved strictly for mountain biking, and hiking is not allowed on those specific paths.

Friday Hiking Notes

Downhill bike trails are closed to hikers but open for pedal access for mountain bikers (uphill transportation only). Only designated hiking trails remain open for hikers on Fridays.

Preparation

Our mountain terrain is rugged. We highly recommend wearing appropriate outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Consider bringing hiking poles, insect repellent, and sun protection.

Mountain Access & Scenic Color Tours

Operating Hours & Dates

The chairlift will run, and Mountain Access Day Passes for hiking will only be available on the following dates:

  • June: 26th, 27th, 28th – Marquette Trails Fest
  • July/August: July 31st, August 1st, August 2nd – Marquette Mountain Downhill (Downhill Midwest)
  • September: 12th – Art on The Mountain
  • October: 2nd, 3rd – Fall Enduro
  • October: 11th – Fall Fest

Note: These are the only dates we will be offering hiking and color tours for the entire season.

Important Guidelines:

No Season Passes: We are not offering season passes of any kind this year.

Tickets & Passes

Scenic Color Tour Lift Ticket

The ultimate way to see the colors. Take a chairlift ride to the top of the mountain for a panoramic view of the changing leaves and the blue waters of Lake Superior. Once at the summit, you can take photos, enjoy the breeze, and hike down one of our scenic trails.

Includes a one-way chairlift ride to the summit and mountain access to hike down. (Available only on operating dates listed above).

  • Adults (13–79): $15
  • Juniors (6–12): $10
  • Child (5 & under) / Super Senior (80+): $5*

Mountain Access Day Pass

For hikers accessing the trails on foot only. Does not include a chairlift ride. (Available only on operating dates listed above).
