Spring Carnival 2026 Wrap-Up: Races, Slush Cups, and Serious Competition!
What a weekend, Marquette Mountain family! After digging out from a massive blizzard earlier in the week, we were rewarded with an absolutely epic Spring Carnival. The community showed up, the costumes were hilarious, and the energy was off the charts. From the sunset laps on Friday to the epic splashes at Sunday’s Slush Cup, it was the perfect way to celebrate an incredible winter season.
Here is a look back at the highlights, the music, and the fierce competition from Spring Carnival 2026!
Beats, Boards, and Boots: The Mountain Was Rocking
A carnival isn’t complete without a great soundtrack, and this year’s lineup absolutely delivered across the entire mountain.
On Saturday, the Acoustic Antics kept the St. Patrick’s Day vibes rolling strong. They provided the perfect acoustic backdrop as everyone came off the hill to swap stories about their Cup Race runs and Slopestyle tricks in the Tbar.
Then came Sunday, where Jakey Thomas took over the Tbar, and the tropical Luau theme fully took over the crowd! The energy was so infectious that the Tbar turned into a full-blown dance party. Seeing both kids and adults tearing up the dance floor in their Hawaiian shirts and ski pants was definitely a highlight of the weekend!
Down at the pond, DJ Coop kept the energy absolutely cranked for the legendary Slush Cup! He provided the perfect high-octane soundtrack as competitors skimmed, splashed, and wiped out in front of a massive, cheering crowd.
The 2026 Spring Carnival Champions
The competition for the 2026-2027 Season Pass was incredibly fierce this year. You all brought your A-game, but a few competitors managed to pull ahead of the pack by entering multiple events and racking up those top-10 finish bonus points.
Let’s hear it for our overall leaderboard:
- Overall Winner: Sophie Croney – 798 pts (Enjoy your 2026-2027 Season Pass, Sophie!)
- Runner Up: Sierra Bernard – 766 pts (An incredibly close finish!)
- 2nd Runner Up: Josh Bennett – 470 pts
A Pro-Tip for the Adults: The Secret to Winning
Let’s talk strategy for a second. We hear it every year: “It’s so hard for adults to win the overall title!” And it’s true—the kids usually dominate because they have the boundless energy to enter every single race and silly event on the mountain.
So, how does an adult take home the grand prize? You need to shine in the Adult Treasure Hunt. This event is heavily weighted, and it’s the ultimate equalizer. This year, we completely revamped the hunt with all-new, fiendishly clever hiding places scattered across the mountain. If you want to dethrone the younger generation next year, you can’t just casually look around while skiing your normal runs. You have to put in the work: Get creative, get curious, get adventurous! Start planning your treasure-hunting strategy now for 2027.
Thank You!
A massive thank you to every single person who came out, dressed up, skimmed the pond, and danced in the Tbar. Huge shoutouts to our ski patrol, resort team,, and the mountain ops crew who worked tirelessly to make this event happen right on the heels of a massive blizzard.
We love this community. Here’s to finishing out the spring skiing season strong!
