Marquette Mountain Season Pass Protection Plan

Protect Your Season Investment

Winter is an investment in fun, but life can be unpredictable. The Marquette Mountain Pass Protection Plan offers peace of mind by providing pro-rated refunds for your season pass in the event of injury, military call-to-action, or other qualifying life events.

Important Note: Pass protection can only be added at the time of purchase. Without this plan, all season pass products are non-refundable.

Protection Plan Details

The Pass Protection Plan is designed to safeguard your investment. Coverage is only available to guests who opt-in at the time of purchase; it cannot be added later.

  • Coverage Period: Begins immediately upon purchase and ends on the final day of the 2025/2026 winter season.

  • The “7-Day” Rule: After a pass has been used for 7 days, it is considered fully “consumed” and no longer carries any residual refund value.

  • Termination: All protection ends once the ski season officially closes.

You are eligible for a pro-rated refund if the Pass Holder cannot use their pass due to the following specific circumstances:

  • Physical Injury or Sickness: A disabling illness or accident that prevents you from skiing or riding.

  • Immediate Family Care: Life-threatening sickness or injury to a spouse, child, or parent that requires the Pass Holder to become the primary caregiver.

  • Military Service: Call to active duty, reassignment, or revoked leave.

  • Pregnancy: Childbirth or complications occurring after the coverage effective date.

Refunds are pro-rated to ensure you only pay for the portion of the season you were actually able to use.

  • Calculation Formula: For claims made on or after November 1, 2025, your refund equals the purchase price minus 14.25% for every day the pass was scanned.

  • Non-Refundable Items: The cost of the Pass Protection Program itself and any initial transaction fees are not eligible for refund.

Refunds are not available for the following:

  • Pass Holders who did not purchase the Protection Plan at the time of their original transaction.

  • Staff, Volunteer, Industry Trade, or Complimentary passes.

  • Any claims filed more than 30 days after the incident.

  • Ancillary expenses such as medical bills, travel, lodging, or equipment rentals.

To initiate a claim, you must act within 30 days of your injury or life event.

  1. Email Us: Send your request to guestservices@marquettemountain.com.

  2. Provide Proof: Attach written verification (a doctor’s letter on official letterhead stating the disability dates or military orders).

  3. Review: Claims are reviewed based on the “unused portion” of the pass. Incomplete or false information may lead to a claim denial.

  • Immediate Family: Includes spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, and step-family.

  • Dependent: A spouse or legally dependent child (age 18 or under).

  • Doctor: A licensed practitioner (MD/DO) who is not the Pass Holder or a family member.

  • Injury/Sickness: Bodily harm or disease requiring professional medical treatment that prevents mountain participation.
