Marquette Mountain is Getting Major Snowmaking Upgrades This Summer
This season, we’re investing in snowmaking improvements that will directly enhance your time on the mountain. Whether you’re chasing your first turns of the season or looking for mid-winter consistency, these upgrades are all about delivering a better skiing and riding experience for you.
What This Means for You:
- Get on the slopes earlier. With faster, more efficient snowmaking, key runs like Nastar, Snowfield, Chute, Shaker, and Contour can open sooner in the season, giving you more days on the mountain.
- Advanced snow guns and expanded coverage mean fewer thin spots, better grooming, and improved rideability—day after day, storm or shine.
- Better quality snow equals better skiing. This means smoother surfaces, less ice, and longer-lasting coverage across key terrain.
- Less downtime, more ski time. With new infrastructure and greater control over where and when we make snow, we can respond faster to changing weather and keep runs open more reliably.
- More trails, more often. Upgraded snowmaking means we can support more terrain at once, so you’re not limited to just one or two runs early in the season.
Here’s what the upgrade includes:
- 8,000+ feet of new pipe and power cable
- 5 fan guns, 3 mobile guns from TechnoAlpin
- Replacement of 3 older tower fan guns
- 25 manual hydrants and power pedestals

These changes are part of our commitment to giving you the best possible experience every time you visit. We’re not just improving equipment—we’re improving your experience. Get ready for a longer season, better snow, and even more reasons to love Marquette Mountain.
