Winterfest at Marquette Mountain:

A Weekend of Speed, Style, Music and Shellfish?

There is a certain magic to mid-winter in the U.P. The base is deep, the views of Lake Superior are crisp, and the energy at the mountain is unmatched. To celebrate the peak of the season, we’re throwing our annual Winterfest Mid-Winter Festival on January 31st and February 1st.

Whether you’re here to clock a new personal best or for the après-ski vibes, we’ve got a packed lineup for the whole family.

Saturday, January 31: The Big Kick-Off

Saturday is a marathon of mountain culture, starting with racing and ending with a glow across the slopes.

• 9:00 AM | Rumney Memorial Race: Cheer on U.P. talent! The Marquette Mountain Racing Team hosts this annual tradition on our slopes. Come see the next generation of U.P. racers carve up the mountain. For more information contact MMRT.
• 12:00 PM | Oysters & Après at the Tbar: We’re bringing a taste of the coast to the Great Lakes. We’ll be serving fresh oysters on the half-shell in the Tbar alongside our full menu. Fresh shucking and cold brews? Yes, please.
• 3:00 PM | Live Music: Bradley Brownell Drop into the Tbar for some mid-afternoon soul. Bradley Brownell will be providing the soundtrack to your post-shred recovery.
• 3:00 PM | Contour Park Freestyle Competition: Think you’ve got the best line? Our freestyle competition in Contour Park is open to skiers and riders. Registration is required, so get your name on the list and show us what you’ve got.
• 7:00 PM | Torchlight Parade: This is the crown jewel of Winterfest. Watch (or participate) as a ribbon of light snakes down the mountain. All are invited to join! Must be 6 years old and up and able to navigate Rocket Run in a safe and controlled manner. Children will carry battery operated lanterns and adults will have access to lanterns or flares.
  > Note: Registration is required and we will cap the number of participants, so sign up early online to secure your spot in the glow.

Sunday, February 1: Find Your Fast

After a big Saturday, Sunday is all about finding your rhythm and testing your edges.

• 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM | NASTAR Racing: Ever wondered how you stack up against the pros? Now is your chance. Join us on the NASTAR course for open timed runs. It’s you versus the clock (and your friends).

Winterfest is one of our busiest weekends of the year, so we recommend arriving early for parking (park tight) and registering for events now.
