Marquette Mountain’s 2026 Spring Carnival

Late winter in Marquette County is a truly special time of year. As the snow softens and we transition toward warmer days, there is no better way to celebrate than with Marquette Mountain’s Annual Spring Carnival! Taking place the weekend of March 20th – 22nd, this action-packed event blends mountain energy with incredible community spirit. Whether you are a seasoned competitor looking to shred or you just want to enjoy the spectacular après-ski festivities and family-friendly activities, there is something for everyone.

Here is everything you need to know about our upcoming weekend of fun, competition, and community on the slopes!

Friday Night Kickoff — March 20th Sunset Stamina & Endurance Race

Time Event & Location Description
5:00 pm – 7:00 pm Up Hill Endurance Race Location: Weasel / Cliffs / Rocket Race up Weasel and cruise down Cliffs/Rocket. Most laps in 2 hours wins. Snowshoe class available. Headlamps required for safety.

Saturday — March 21st Theme: St. Patrick’s Day (Wear Your Green Gear)

Time Event & Location Description
11:30 am Cup Race Location: Cliffs Giant Slalom (GS) course. Test your speed and precision on the mountain.
1:30 pm Match Your Time Location: Nastar Consistency is key! Race against your own time—the closest match wins.
4:00 pm Slope Style Location: Contour Show off your tricks, air awareness, and technique for the crowd.
Evening Après Ski Party Location: T-Bar Enjoy our outdoor bar and Live Music to celebrate the luck of the Irish.

Sunday Funday — March 22nd Theme: Luau Tropical (Aloha Shirts Encouraged)

Time Event & Location Description
11:00 am Silly Slalom Location: Tyro A fun-filled slalom event open to competitors ages 14 and under.
1:00 pm Treasure Hunt Location: Mountain-Wide Kids search Snowfield & Nastar; Adults explore the entire mountain for bounty.
1:30 pm Synchronized Skiing Location: Main Hill Grab a partner and match your turns perfectly down the hill.
2:30 pm Fire Hose Race Location: Rocket Team race starting at the Launch Pad. Hold on tight to the hose!
4:00 pm Slush Cup Location: Bottom of Rocket The ultimate crowd favorite. Skim the pond or take the plunge!
All Day Island Party Location: T-Bar Wrap up the weekend with outdoor food, bar service, and Live Music.

We want everyone to get in on the action! For just $12 per person, you can enter a single event or compete in them all!

The Grand Prize:

The overall winner with the most points at the end of the weekend will receive a season pass for the 2026-27 Winter Season! Other amazing prizes will be announced soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
